Juliet Pang : White Noise Quartet
This year at Yellowren Arts Festival 2014, White Noise’s Juliet Pang and Didi Mudigdo will be joined by a dynamic rhythm section featuring Wendy Phua on electric bass and Soh Wenming on drums, sharing new original compositions and arrangements of jazz and latin standards. Their performance at this festival will be the closing performance of their 6-city tour in Singapore and South China.
White Noise is a collaborative project by Singaporean singer/songwriter Juliet Pang and Australian pianist Didi Mudigdo, enmeshing jazz arrangements with original songs that seek to communicate the nuances of the light and the heavy in our lives. Since their inception in 2012, they have a recorded a live EP CD ‘White Noise Live’, and performed at events such as Singapore Arts Festival (2012), Singapore Esplanade’s Jazz in July concert series (2013), and Yellowren Arts Festival (2013). In the media, White Noise have been featured on Singapore’s Lush 99.5 FM, Love 97.2 FM and MediaCorp Channel 8 TV.

JJ & The Paperplanes
JJ and The PaperPlanes, a band that’s full of fun and zest, is fronted by JJ Ong together with 4 other unique individuals. Though the group started as friends jamming together during their time off from the polytechnic in which they were studying in, it has now started to exceed expectations, going beyond the fence, and has started gaining visibility in the local music circuit.

The Lion In Us
The Lion in Us is a vocal-oriented acoustic group formed in 2013. They consist of four main vocalists—Zerlene, Prisheela, Rachel, Tiffany—and guitarists Kaiwen and Wilson. Making their first public appearance in January 2014 at the Singapore Polytechnic Open House, they have since been preparing for their official SPear release.

53A is one of Singapore’s most prominent cover bands featuring a dynamic young crew of talented and versatile music performers from diverse backgrounds, all of whom are well-tenured in the local ‘live’ music scene. The result is a unique, versatile and scalable group of professional musicians who are able to operate as an acoustic duo or scale up all the way to a six-piece band across a variety of genres – jazz, pop, rock, punk, alternative or top 40s.
53A features vocalist Sara Wee, lead guitarist Alvin Khoo, bassist/lead vocalist Bani Hidir, drummer Helman Kamal, keyboardist Ying Chng and percussionist Serena Chen. The aggregation of their professional experience and infectious personalities has resulted in a distinct 53A charm, which has made the band a hot favourite at ‘live’ music venues across the island. 53A’s original album ‘Settle the Kettle’ debuted in 2010 and received positive reviews in TODAY, The Business Times and TIME Magazine.
